Editorial Illustration

October 2024

This was for a corporate illustration class. I chose an article online and drew an illustration suitable for it.

The concept of this drawing was to illustrate the happiness paradox: the more one tries to gain happiness the less they are to attain it- the more unhappy they will feel. This illustration points toward this hypnotic spiral that showcases how easy it is to fall into this paradox. The stone cold eye symbolizes this internal experience that takes you away from being present. Its a journey where you expect happiness should feel, not being met, you look for more down the road- an illusion. Not appreciating that happiness is a fleeting feeling and not some place someone can reach intentionally.
